JOGLE Idea

I'm throwing this out there for discussion and to gauge possible interest
For some years the idea of an end to end ride has bubbled away in the background and several club members have entertained similar thoughts.
After our London ride on Saturday myself and Tim Gibbs discussed doing John O'Groats to Lands End as a club event.
Initial plan
1. Starting at the top and riding down.
2. Around 100 miles a day for 10 days. Last day would be shorter in ride length. Some may be able to do it faster but it's a journey not a race. As it's likely to be a group of us, sticking to a route and itinerary during cycling hours would be best.
3. Youth are interested too, so this fixes the time to the main summer holiday (July-August)
4. Hopefully other club members could offer logistical support so riders wouldn't have to carry their own kit.
5. Supported camping would be the most economical way of doing it. Unless someone has a 10 berth tour bus?
6. Roughly 8hrs riding per day.
I have a provisional route that avoids the majority of main roads and city centres and only goes up hills if necessary. The Devon/Cornwall bit is the bumpiest. We wouldn't do the A30 for instance.
Let me know if you'd like to join in or help in some way.
